Flip Spot

Flip Spot is a 3D stunt game with a physics-based mechanic. Try to land accurately by taking jumps and flips in the air from high platforms. The timing, the spin control, the stability on landing, that’s what each stage is about.

Simple Flipping Mechanism But Difficult to Master

The controls of Flip Spot are based on a very basic concept, hold the button down to move and control the flip and release at the perfect moment to get the figure back in the right spot.

But don’t let the simplicity fool you, this is no easy game. Holding it down a little longer can make the character overspin. If you release too early you will have an incomplete flip and a hard landing.

This is the type of mechanism that is easy to learn but takes practice to perfect.

Every Leap Is a Puzzle of Its Own

You don’t get the same air time from every launch point.

A low platform and short landing distance are usually suitable for a simple flip. Meanwhile, higher starting points may give you enough time to try more spins.

Therefore, instead of applying one formula to every level, you need to observe before you perform:

  • Is the launch point high or low?
  • Is the landing area near or far?
  • Now how long does the character have to spin?
  • Do you do one spin or try many spins?
  • When do you stop spinning?

A couple of questions like these can totally transform the way you approach a jump.

Flip Spot Tips for Gameplay

Watch Before You Leap

To get an idea of the flying time, look at the height of the platform and the distance to the landing location.

Do Not Hold the Button for Too Long

If you hold the button too long, the character will spin too much and easily get into the improper postures. As soon as the body starts to line up correctly with the landing spot, release the button.

Safe Landing

More flips are not better. One flip with a perfect landing is better than a gorgeous flip that ends in a fall.

Check Your Feet

This is the easiest location to see if your character is back on a standing position. When your feet are pointing down get ready to end the flip.

Use the Height

To be fair, higher platforms give you more time in the air. These places are good for trying double flips or just stronger spins.

Flip Spot is a short, difficult jump that takes strategy and precision for every flip. Learn to time the spin and the landing and you will be able to do stunning flips with ease and over come every challenge of the game.
