Hexbound

Hexbound is a classic fantasy FPS throwback. You find yourself in dungeons filled with enemies, traps, and mysteries behind locked doors. It has that old-school boomer shooter vibe with the fast-paced action, a huge armory of weaponry and a kickass magic system, while also adding in exploration and character development.

What Is Special About Hexbound?

It's a mix of three primary ingredients: fast-paced FPS, dungeon crawling and character upgrading.

You’ll need to work thru constant interactions as you navigate difficult places. As you journey, gathering resources and new weaponry will make your character stronger and better equipped for the worlds to come.

5 Worlds – 60 Levels

The campaign has 60 stages, split into 5 different worlds. Every location has diverse map layouts, enemy groups and obstacles.

It adds more meaning to the journey than just adding a challenge. Players must also constantly adjust their approach depending on the environment and the type of opponent appearing.

Hexbound's gameplay revolves around a fairly clear loop:

Explore → fight → find resources → clear paths → upgrade → face more difficult challenges.

Starting A Level

When entering a new area, the first thing to do isn't necessarily to run straight ahead.

Observe the environment.

A door might be locked. A corridor might lead to another area. A switch in the corner of the room can open a path you couldn't have accessed before.

Meanwhile, monsters can appear from multiple directions. So being able to fight while memorizing the layout of the map is an important ability.

Don’t Depend On One Weapon

With up to 38 weapons, changing equipment at the correct moment can be a critical aspect of your plan.

There are occasions where a weapon that can do swift damage is warranted. Other times, you need a more powerful weapon to deal with big targets or dense groupings of monsters.

If you continue to pick your fave gun for every scenario you are missing a huge chunk of the battle system in the game.

Just get your weapons ready, check all the nooks and crannies, and fight your hardest to overcome Hexbound.
